Katy trained in dance from a young age but injured her knee when she was 16. It was then she discovered Pilates and used it as part of her recovery, helping to rebuild her strength after surgery.
But it wasn’t until her time at drama school, studying to become an actor at the The Academy of Live and Recorded Arts in London, that she really fell in love with Pilates – it complemented her movement studies perfectly.
After leaving drama school, Katy went on to study with STOTT Pilates in London, and has since furthered her Pilates training with The Pilates Center, Boulder & The Pilates Hub, Edinburgh. Katy is qualified in both classical and contemporary Pilates, with a specialism
in working with Pre and Postnatal women.
After eight years of teaching, Katy opened The Pilates Studio Cheshire. Inspired by a desire to grow her community and offer a wider variety of classes, the studio instantly became a space to feel restored, empowered and at home.
When Katy’s not doing Pilates, you’ll find her at home singing and dancing with her two little ones, out on a dog walk with her family, paddleboarding or going to the theatre.

After discovering Pilates and having lessons with Katy for two years, Katherine realised Pilates was great for her mind and her body. She decided to turn her passion for classical Pilates into more than just a hobby and qualified as a teacher training with The Pilates Centre, Boulder and The Pilates Hub, Edinburgh.
When Katherine's not doing Pilates, she’s either walking her dog, baking something delicious, or reading a good book with a nice glass of wine!

Suzanne comes from a dance background and after studying at Liverpool Theatre School, she toured the UK & Europe as a professional dancer. Suzanne used Pilates as a tool for injury prevention for years and loved discovering the benefits of Pilates on the mind and body.
After a break from her dancing career, Suzanne discovered Exhale Pilates in
London, where she re-ignited her passion for movement and decided to pursue her
teacher training with Exhale on their Fully Comprehensive Programme.
When Suzanne’s not doing Pilates, you’ll find her spending time with her
family, in a fast car or drinking a glass of champagne!

No, you're not seeing double... Emma is Katy’s sister as well as our marketing & studio manager. With almost 20 years’ experience in social media, marketing and PR for fashion, jewellery, beauty and wellness industries, Emma couldn’t wait to join the team and to help Katy launch The Pilates Studio Cheshire.
Emma’s responsible for anything here that doesn’t involve the actual teaching – social media manager, merch designer, branding curator, event planner, timetable organiser, sister organiser (she tries!), painter and decorator, website wiz, content creator, problem solver, emotional support system, admin angel... you name it!
When Emma's not at the studio or joining Pilates classes you'll find her in the kitchen baking some delicious treats, running around with her nieces and nephews or planning out her next creative endeavour!

Kate trained with the Australian Physiotherapy & Pilates Institute, with a focus on rehabilitation. Before that, she worked as a lawyer supporting people with serious injuries. That experience deepened her passion for helping people move with confidence and achieve their personal goals.
Born and raised in Southern California, Kate’s always loved being active outdoors and brings that same energy and enthusiasm into her teaching.
When she’s not doing Pilates, Kate is either spending time with her son, husband and dog – probably somewhere in the great outdoors – or drinking her daily (and non-negotiable) Starbucks.
